Did you know that there are many employment opportunities for people with disabilities, both within and outside of USC?

In partnership with the Career Center, DSP has created a guide to answer some of the basic questions on rights and responsibilities for those with a disability who are seeking to begin or advance their careers. Our guide also includes information on when to disclose a disability and how to receive workplace accommodations: https://osas.usc.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/12/2020/04/Disability-The-Workplace-PDF-1.pdf

Additionally, the Career Center compiled a list of Job and Internship Opportunities specifically for people with disabilities. Here are a couple great examples for #DisabilityAwarenessMonth:

Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP): WRP connects undergraduate, graduate students, and recent graduates with disabilities who are interested in paid internships and full-time opportunities to private sector employers and federal agencies. Applying, and interviewing, to WRP puts you in a database so that hiring departments and companies can select you for an interview. Student registration is open and the deadline to register is October 12, 2020 and the deadline to submit application materials is October 15, 2020. Email Mallika Samtani if you have questions about WRP.

AbilityJOBS: A career website dedicated to employment of people with disabilities. Host of the largest resume bank with tens of thousands of job seekers with disabilities, from entry level candidates to PhD.

Lime Connect: This organization assists students with scholarships, professional development webinars, and information about internships and full-time job opportunities. Sign up for their newsletter to get the latest updates on upcoming application deadlines!
